Copan Ruinas
Honduras

I arrived at the airport in San Pedro Sula and took a bus to the small mountain town of Copan Ruinas. The town is a beautiful medium sized town up in the mountains near the Guatemalan Border. The town has a little bit of tourist flavor because of it's close proximity to the Mayan ruins site of Copan. There are several outdoorsy things to explore before moving on to the next travel destination.

A hotel in the downtown area of Copan Ruinas. I didn't stay here but it looked like a good medium priced place.

Up in the Hills, a short Tuk Tuk taxi ride, above town is Mcaw Mountain Bird Park.

The park is a nice place to see all kinds of native birds that were rescued from bad owners or were somhow injured.
