I am Steve Hayden. I was born in New Hampshire and grew up in Maine. I came to the west coast to go to college and I have been here ever since. The reason I stayed in Oregon is because I like the outdoors and Oregon is a great place to get out and explore. I moved to Bend 10 years ago and I have come to think of it as home. I work for the Forest Service as the trail crew supervisor so I am always out enjoying the outdoors. I know a few secret places to go and may be willing to share a few with you in this web site. I like to do a variety of outdoor activities including telemark skiing, backpacking, mountaineering, mt. biking, road biking, (commuter biking) and rock climbing. This Web page will explore and share some of those activities. I am a homeowner so I like to spend some time fixing up my house but when I am not doing that I am always looking for people to go out and enjoy the outdoors with.
