Bryce Canyon National Park

Bryce Canyon is simply and spectacularly beautiful. Just a bunch of beautiful rock pillars. I went for a short backpack trip and saw a side of the park that most don't get to see. The small front scenic area is what most people see in the park. But that is really nice too.

Here's some photos............

Entrance Sign.

All these entrance signs are so nice.

Look at all the trees. This is at 7,000 feet in Utah where there are trees.

Bryce Ampitheater.

This is what it is all about. Spectacular front country scenery right out of the parking lot.

Pink Rocks.

More beautiful scenery near Sunrise Point at sunrise.

This is the trail I went for an overnight backpack on.

Coming back up near the rim you climb up through this beautiful scenery.

Two Bridges
Two Bridges.

The Navajo Loop was closed because of a major rock slide but this short section of it up to Two bridges was still open.

Peek A Boo Trail.

Kind of a silly name for a trail but all the beautiful scenery was not silly.

There are some great hikes down among the rock formations.

Queen's Garden Trail
Queens Garden Trail.

There are several of these tunnels blasted though the rock formation to connect the trails.

Sandy remnants from the erosion of the sandstones.
