Well
when we first arrived in PalestineTexas they had us camped
out in a field. That changed soon after we got 2 inches of
rain in the matter of a few hours. East Texas is not a dry
desert. There are swamps and thick jungly forests
here. Next
they put us in a Christian retreat camp. That worked out OK
but boy was it cramped in there with 20 people to a cabin.
Finally
they got it all together and found a big warehouse. Not just
big but huge. 6 acres of warehouse where we could set up our
tents and spread out our sleeping bags on the nice dry
concrete. Cramped, maybe but hey it kept us out of the
torrential downpours common in Texas this time of
year. The
slides in this series show our camps in Palestine where we
stayed .
Here we are under cover waiting
for them to decide what they are going to do with us. We
waited for hours while they discussed where they were
going to put us up.
Ahhh luxury at last. Here we are
tucked into our own little corner of the warehouse with
800 of our closest friends.

Here's a wide angle view of our
home away from home in Palestine Texas.
