Arenal Volcano

On the way to Arenal the tour stopped at this church in the town of Zarcero. They say that it is an iron clad church. I checked it out and it is just a tin siding. What a ripoff! Beautiful church though and nice gardens.

Arenal Volcano from the viewpoint area on the north side of the mountain. We never really got to see the top of the mountain. It was always covered in clouds. The last night we were there at night you couold see glowing rocks tumbling down the side of the mountain and the cloud capping the top had a glow to it.

Here are some of the hot spring pools at Tabacon resort. This was a beautiful place to walk around and enjoy the trails and gardens.

Big iguana in a tree. On the way to our Cano Negro tour we stopped to look at a place where there were perhaps 30 iguanas hanging out in the trees.

This is the Rio Negro in Cano Negro reserve. There were lots of cool birds, monkeys and crocodiles.
