Montezuma
Nicoya Peninsula

After the sea kayak trip I took the bus over to the town of Montezuma. It is a great little hip town on the beautiful shores of the Nicoya Peninsula. There were great beaches and spectacular headlands to explore.

Here's some photos............
Pachera Ferry.

To get to the Nicoya Peninsula you need to take the ferry.

It was fun getting out on the top deck of the ferry and watching the world go by.

Tambor Bay
Tambor Bay Beach.

Before my sea kayak trip I stayed in Tambor for the night. It was my first dip into the warm waters of Costa Rica.

The ocean water was about 75 degrees.

Here is the highway as it heads through town. The Nicoya Peninsula is remote and hard to get to.

Montezuma Beach.

Just a short walk from "downtown" Montezuma you can walk onto this beautiful beach which stretches for over a mile to the east.

Apon arriving in Montezuma you arrive here at the bus stop right in the heart of town.
