Our Business
Requirements
You must be 18 or older to become an IC with Brownwood Ltd. To be successful, you should also have a clear speaking voice, an open mind, and a friendly, engaging personality.
Equipment
The only equipment necessary is a regular, corded telephone, and a line without Call Waiting, which you provide. Cordless telephones and the Call Waiting feature often cause problems which will decrease your business's earnings.
Our Employees
What is an Independent Contractor?
As an Independent Contractor (IC) with Brownwood Ltd., you decide how, when and where you're going to work. You are in charge of your own small business, servicing clients who call in on our lines. You are not an employee and will not be treated as one. You are, in addition, responsible for paying your own taxes.
Forget the schedule, the boss, and the office politics. Forget the commute back and forth to work, and the expensive wardrobe. You are even free to perform IC work for other companies while you're an active IC with us.
It's YOUR business, and it's up to YOU!
