The village of
Mulege

Next I went to Mulege to explore a cute little village. The town itself is set 2 miles inland on a river. The river creates a lush tropical setting. The ocean is accessible with a 2 mile bike ride down a dirt road. The town is small with friendly locals.

Here's some photos............
Here is the bus station in Loreto. I took the bus to Mulege. The buses in Baja are pretty convenient and not a bad price.

Downtown Mulege
Mulege's main streets. Mulege was a great quaint little town.

The Mission in Mulege
The mission in Mulege was just outside of the main part of town in a beautiful setting.

Here is a viewpoint at the mission with a view along the river which made it a tropical jungle.

The coast was a 2 mile bike ride down a dirt road along the river. There was a rocky little beach out at the end of the road.

The lighthouse

Boats along the river
At the lighthouse there was a picturesque little marina with quaint boats.

View from the lighthouse

From the lighthouse there was a great view of the river.

Downtown plaza in Mulege
The plaza in downtown Mulege was a great place to relax and watch people.

On the drive to and from Mulege to Loreto you can see the seashore and the palapas on the beach popular with the RV crowd.
