The Journal Begins Friday the 14th day of July 1826 at York Factory and ends the 2nd day of November at Ft. Vancouver.  The Saskatshawan Brigade traveled 2817 miles in 4 months and 19 days.  The Brigade consisted of about sixty people for the several departments that is: Saskatshawan, Columbia and New Caledonia.  Simpson was to take charge of the vessel building in the Columbia.
